A deep thank you to JJ Scoop and Naya Aljoudi for their powerful performances during Unsettling’s presentation at Sandberg Open Day 2025 on 6th of February, 2025.
Through sonic storytelling and poetic resistance, JJ Scoop and Naya Aljoudi offered us moments of catharsis, memory, and collective reflection—resonating beyond the space, beyond the day. Grateful for their presence, their voices, and the ways they unsettle.

About the artists:
J.J Scoop is an expressionist/performance artist who transmutes the findings of his inner landscape into his craft as a means for catharsis and communal healing. Honoring the traditions of oral storytelling and sonic vibrations, he channels Spiritual/Ambient Jazz and avant-garde movements through his saxophone while weaving past, present, and future into sound.
Naya Aljoudi identifies first and foremost as a poet, using words to combat systemic erasure and reclaim biographies lost to war, migration, and colonial technologies. Through love letters and poetic resistance, they attempt to restore their own narrative and work towards collective liberation—side by side.
